Tim Miles

Tim Miles

Tim is the founder and principal of Miles Advisory Partners and has worked in corporate finance since 1997. Tim founded Miles Advisory Partners in 2002 with the specific goal of providing professional corporate advisory services to the mid-market. Since this time, he has led more than 100 successful private and public transactions including divestments, mergers, acquisitions and debt/equity capital raisings.

Prior to establishing Miles Advisory Partners, Tim held a variety of executive positions specialising in merger and acquisition transactions and capital raisings, and has provided advice across a broad range of industries including engineering, resources, manufacturing, distribution and finance.

Gareth Cope

Gareth Cope

Gareth joined Miles Advisory Partners in 2020 and has been advising clients in Australia for almost 30 years across the broad spectrum of M&A, equity and debt transactions.  Prior to joining Miles Advisory Partners, Gareth was Co-Head of Rothschild & Co Australia, having been with the firm for 14 years, and previously he worked at Citigroup and Deutsche Bank.  Gareth began his career as a Chartered Accountant in Australia and the UK, and holds a BSc in Economics and Accounting from The University of Southampton.

Stephen Bowring

Stephen Bowring

Stephen joined Miles Advisory Partners in 2010 as a Director and became a shareholder in 2018. With more than 25 years' experience in the corporate finance sector, he has led more than 60 transactions including acquisitions, divestments, capital raisings, corporate re-structures and off-market takeovers, across a range of sectors, including business services, IT, finance and insurance, and automotive.

Prior to joining Miles Advisory Partners, he held several senior corporate strategic roles, including for UXC Limited. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Business in Banking and Finance, a Graduate Diploma of Corporations and Securities Law and a Masters of Applied Finance.

Duncan Mann

Duncan Mann

Duncan joined Miles Advisory Partners in 2023 and has over 20 years' experience in the corporate finance sector. He has advised on a substantial number of public and private company mergers and acquisitions, divestments, debt financing and equity capital markets transactions for clients across a diverse range of sectors in both Australia and Asia.

Prior to joining Miles Advisory Partners, Duncan was Managing Director, Head of Financial Sponsors and Co-Head of General Industries & TMT at JP Morgan and was also previously Co-Head of Financial Sponsors, APAC at Deutsche Bank. Duncan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney.

Lloyd Way

Lloyd Way

Lloyd is an Executive Director and Shareholder at Miles Advisory Partners, and has over 15 years’ experience providing corporate finance services. Since joining Miles in 2013, Lloyd has successfully advised a number of mid-market clients across a range of industry sectors, including financial services, automotive, wholesale and distribution, logistics and business services.

Prior to joining Miles, Lloyd spent five years with PwC Corporate Finance providing advice to clients on mergers and acquisitions, valuation, financial modelling and other general advisory services. Lloyd holds a Bachelor of Management Studies (Hons) in Finance and Economics.

 

Rohan Manikath

Rohan Manikath

Rohan has over ten years’ advisory experience advising a diverse range of organisations on mergers & acquisitions, strategy and corporate finance matters. He has previously held roles in the M&A and advisory teams at PwC and KPMG, and has also spent time in venture capital. Rohan holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance, a Graduate Diploma in Commercial Law, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Ryan Jordan

Ryan Jordan

Prior to joining Miles Advisory, Ryan has 18 years experience as a Managing Director in PwC's Mergers & Acquisitions team where he provided lead advisory services in relation to divestments, acquisitions, capital raisings, mergers and strategic relationships.

Ryan has experience across multiple industries with a particular focus on retail and consumer, industrial products, food and agriculture as well as cross border transactions.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and International Business), Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and Graduate Diploma in Corporations and Securities Law.

Craig Andrews

Craig Andrews

Craig has over 16 years' experience providing corporate finance advice to mid-market companies across a range of sectors. Craig has expertise in acquisitions, divestments, capital raisings and debt advisory, working in both Perth and Sydney. Craig holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, Banking and Management and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance.

David Leung

David Leung

David has over 10 years' experience and joins from Alvarez & Marsal‘s Transaction Advisory Group in NYC, where he specialised in the Software & Technology sector. Prior to this he was an Associate at HomeRiver Group, and previously worked in transaction advisory services practices of both KPMG and RSM in New York, San Francisco and Australia, providing services to strategic and private equity clients in the Technology, Media and Entertainment sector. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University and is a Chartered Accountant.

Jack Atkins

Jack Atkins

Jack has over nine years experience across corporate finance and business transaction services. Prior to joining Miles he worked for PwC in both London and Sydney offices and for a boutique corporate advisory in London. He also holds a BA and is a certified CA.

Alan Dassie

Alan Dassie

Alan has over seven years’ corporate finance experience advising businesses on mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings and strategic reviews. Prior to joining Miles Advisory Partners, he held roles in a boutique corporate advisory firm and KPMG. Alan holds a Master of Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.

Jackson Lowrie

Jackson Lowrie

Jackson has over 8 years of investment banking experience (15+ years of relevant experience) in Australia, the U.K. and EMEA, having advised on 20+ completed transactions valued at over A$35bn. Prior to joining Miles, he was at Moelis and JP. Morgan, and began his investment banking career at Greenhill and has additional experience in accounting, tax and law.  He hails from the south coast, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (Honours) and Commerce from the University of Wollongong.

Cameron Beasley

Cameron Beasley

Cameron has over six years' experience in professional services, spanning audit & assurance and corporate finance. His last role was at Grant Thornton where he focussed on M&A, due diligence and valuation engagements, having joined from KPMG. Cameron holds a Bachelor of Finance and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Katie Hudson

Katie Hudson

Katie has over five years' professional services experience, spanning consulting and corporate finance. Prior to joining Miles Advisory Partners, she worked in M&A advisory at EY. Katie holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting/Finance) from Monash University and is a member of Chartered Accountants ANZ.

Neville Smith

Neville Smith

Nev has over eight years’ relevant experience in professional services, spanning audit & assurance and investment banking. Prior to joining Miles Advisory Partners, he held investment banking roles at Ord Minnett and Equity & Advisory (a boutique firm based in Adelaide) where he focussed on mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings and strategic reviews. Nev holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide, and is a Chartered Accountant.

Dominic McEwen

Dom has over six years' professional services experience, spanning audit & assurance and corporate finance. Prior to joining Miles Advisory Partners, he worked in transaction services at Grant Thornton. Dom holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from the University of Technology Sydney and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Chris Eckberg

Chris Eckberg

Chris has over five years’ worth of professional services experience across corporate finance and audit. Prior to joining Miles Advisory Partners, Chris worked in BDO’s Corporate Finance team where he was involved in a range of corporate advisory projects including M&A, financial due diligence, and IPOs for ASX listed and private mid-market companies. Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) from the University of Sydney.

John Khoury

John Khoury

John has over three years’ experience and joins from SCD Advisory in Sydney, where he gained experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, board and shareholder matters, and capital raisings. Prior to this he completed internships at the global private equity fund Partners Group, Macquarie Group, along with Macquarie’s Infrastructure and Real Asset investment fund (MIRA). He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (double major in Finance and Accounting) from Sydney University.

Trent O'Loughlin

Trent O'Loughlin

Trent has four years of professional services experience across corporate finance and consulting. Before joining Miles Advisory Partners, Trent worked in Deloitte's Corporate Finance team, where he gained experience on a range of buy and sell-side M&A mandates across a variety of industries. Trent holds a Master of Finance and Business Economics from the University of Adelaide.

Christina has over 2 years' experience working in corporate finance, joining us from PwC Auckland. At PwC she worked in transaction services across a broad range of industries. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from Victoria University of Wellington.

Ayush Mahajan

Ayush has over two years’ professional services experience across corporate finance and tax advisory roles. Prior to joining Miles Advisory Partners, Ayush worked in the Corporate Finance team at PKF where he focussed on M&A and valuation engagements. Ayush holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne majoring in Accounting and Finance.

Flynn Peacock

Flynn has over two years’ of professional services experience in corporate finance. Prior to joining Miles Advisory Partners, he worked in BDO’s Corporate Finance team where he focussed on valuations, M&A, and due diligence engagements. Flynn holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting/Finance) from the University of Technology Sydney and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Lisa Donohoe

Lisa Donohoe

Lisa has more than 25 years of generalist HR experience in the corporate sector as well as through her own HR consultancy. Her experience covers a range of industries including high profile brands such as Coles Supermarkets, Commonwealth Bank, Morgan & Banks and Virgin Mobile Australia.

Lisa spent ten years in the professional services environment, firstly as HR Manager for Cutler Hughes & Harris, a commercial mid-tier law firm, then consulting to a range of smaller commercial law firms.

Holding a Bachelor of Commerce, with a major in HR and industrial relations, Lisa advises Miles on all things people and culture to ensure a strong team.

Ashta Doyle

Ashta Doyle

Ashta has over ten years' operations experience across a variety of industries, with previous roles spanning across London, New York, Dubai and Delhi. She holds a double bachelors degree and has recently completed her MBA at the University of Sydney.

Kevin Jacobson

Kevin Jacobson

Kevin joined Miles as a Senior Advisor in 2013. Kevin has a distinguished reputation as a leading investment banker in Australia with a career spanning over 25 years. He has advised many of Australia’s largest listed and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations and debt/equity capital markets transactions.

Prior to establishing independent advisory/private equity boutique, Momentum Pacific Group in 2003, Kevin was a Managing Director of JPMorgan Australia and prior to that, Executive Director – Corporate Finance of both Ord Minnett and Schroders Australia. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) and qualified as a Chartered Accountant whilst working for Ernst & Young, both in South Africa and Australia.
